Dr. med. dent. Frank-Michael Maier

1998 State examination in dentistry at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and licence to practise dentistry. Doctorate in the Department of Dental Prosthetics on the subject of “All-ceramic dentures”.

1998 to 2001 Resident in the practice of Dres. Blind, Stuttgart and in the practice for oral and maxillofacial surgery of Dr. Dr. Eiche, Bad Cannstatt.

2000 to 2001: Structured further training in implantology under the direction of Dr Ashok Sethi, Royal College of Surgeons, London.

January 2001: Established own practice in Tübingen with focus on implantology and prosthetic rehabilitation. Specialisation in microscopic endodontology, implantology and aesthetic dentistry.

Since 2002 specialisation in implantology (Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Dentists and German Society for Implantology).

2007 – 2009 postgraduate course in Oral Implantology at Steinbeis University Berlin.

2016 – 2017 postgraduate course in Periodontology at Steinbeis University Berlin.

Since 2005 international activity as a lecturer in implant surgery, restorative dentistry and gnathology. Current topics:
Soft tissue management, augmentation techniques,
metal-free restorations, ceramic implants, minimally invasive surgery, implant-abutment connection, allogenic bone replacement, endoscopic sinus lift, 3D diagnostics, guided surgery.

Research activities and publications in the fields of implant-abutment connection, bone substitutes, implant prosthetics, peri-implant bone resorption, sinus augmentation, double crowns on implants, total rehabilitations and ceramic implants, molar immediate implantation, minimally invasive bone surgery.

2014 ZZI Award in the category “Best Practical Paper” (Journal of Dental Implantology).

Memberships: PEERS Germany, Prosec Partner, German Society for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK), German Society for Implantology (DGI), Association for Scientific Dentistry Stuttgart. Dr.med.dent. Fabiana Ziegler

Doctorate in the Department of General and Visceral Surgery on the topic of “Influence of immunosuppression in Crohn’s disease patients”.

April 2010 to June 2011 assistant dentist in the Theisen practice in Cologne.

Dr Ziegler has been working in our practice since December 2011. In addition to paediatric dentistry, her specialities are minimally invasive filling therapy and microscopic endodontology.

2012 Structured advanced training in paediatric dentistry.

Rebecca Herbstritt

2017 State examination in dentistry at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg.

April 2018 to March 2020 assistant dentist in the practice of Dr. Lilly in Kitzingen.

Since July 2020, Rebecca Herbstritt has enriched our dental health team in Loretto. Her main areas of interest are aesthetic conservative dentistry, periodontology and tooth preservation.

Continuous training and further education in periodontology, endodontics, aesthetics and implantology.

Kristin Pürzel – currently on parental leave

2011 State examination in dentistry at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena.

April 2013 to April 2018 Assistant dentist at the Göppingen Dental Group Practice.

Since May 2018, Ms Pürzel has been working in our practice and specialises in paediatric dentistry and conservative dentistry.
