Whether root canal treatment, implants, a bone augmentation treatment or with a connective tissue graft – we offer you first-class quality in all areas of dentistry. For all treatments, we attach great importance to proceeding as gently and with as little pain as possible. To achieve this, we use minimally invasive procedures, the best materials and innovative techniques such as low-radiation digital x-rays, three-dimensional imaging of bones and teeth using digital volume tomography, high-resolution oral camera diagnostics and treatment under the surgical microscope.

Periodontology (gum treatments)
Gum inflammation is one of the most common oral diseases. More than 80 percent of the adult population is affected. If the inflammation is only superficial, we speak of gingivitis. Periodontitis is an inflammation of the periodontium. If it is not treated, it can lead to tooth loss in the worst case. Periodontitis can also affect general health and increase the risk of diseases such as strokes and heart attacks. Therefore, early detection and treatment is important. Even if periodontitis is already in an advanced stage, we have the possibility to clean the root surface by microsurgery. And after the inflammation has healed, we can rebuild the affected soft tissue and the jawbone.
Endodontology
No replacement is as good as your own tooth. That is why tooth preservation is always a priority in our dental practice at Loretto. If a tooth is severely damaged, sometimes the only way to heal and preserve it is root canal treatment. We carry out this treatment under a microscope, which ensures precision even with complicated anatomies and thus increases the chances of successful treatment. In brief, the following happens during a root canal treatment: The diseased pulp is removed, the root and side canals are cleaned, prepared and then filled so that no more bacteria can enter. I would be happy to explain the procedure of a root canal treatment to you in detail in a personal consultation.
Adhesive technique
The adhesive technique is a gentle bonding method that can be used to repair many dental defects without sacrificing healthy tooth substance. For this purpose, the defective area is first cleaned and then directly built up or inlays or tooth-coloured veneers are made of full ceramics and bonded to the tooth surface. Because the artificial material fuses with the tooth, no transitions or gaps can be seen or felt after the treatment. We can fabricate and bond many restorations in just one session using the adhesive technique.
All-ceramic restorations
Whether crowns, bridges, dentures or fillings – we mainly use ceramic as a material. All-ceramic restorations have the advantage that they provide the best aesthetic results. Ceramic refracts light like tooth substance and is therefore indistinguishable from a natural tooth. In addition, all-ceramics are durable, colour-stable, resistant and bioinert – i.e. very well tolerated. There are no allergies or irritations in the oral cavity.
Hard and soft tissue augmentation
After tooth loss, both the soft tissue, i.e. the gums, and the hard tissue, i.e. the bone, can regress due to the lack of stress. However, in order to be able to carry out an implantation, sufficient bone structure and gum quality is necessary. In our practice we carry out a targeted build-up, called augmentation, of the bone and gums so that an implantation is possible. By using sometimes extraordinary techniques, we can perform these procedures very gently under the 3D microscope. Even extensive augmentations such as lifting the maxillary sinus floor (sinus lift), bone blocks or connective tissue grafts are possible with minimal injury.
Microsurgery, microscopic dentistry
Precise dentistry with the best results is only possible using modern magnification technology. In our practice, we have several surgical microscopes for root canal treatment, where even the smallest ramifications of the root canals must be precisely identified, and microsurgical procedures. This makes it possible to perform these minimally invasive and thus particularly gentle.
